Growing in Faith When You Feel Stuck

Feeling stuck can make us question whether growth is happening at all. We expect faith to feel like progress, movement, and clarity but often faith looks like waiting, trusting, and remaining steady even when nothing seems to change.

God works in hidden ways. Even when we feel stagnant, He is shaping us internally strengthening trust, deepening reliance, and refining our hearts.

Scripture

“We live by faith, not by sight.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:7

Teaching

Faith is not proven by visible results but by trust in unseen work. God often develops our character before changing our circumstances. What feels like stillness may actually be preparation.

Trusting God when progress feels slow strengthens our faith more than visible success ever could.

Personal Reflection

I’ve experienced seasons where I questioned whether I was growing at all. Looking back, those seasons were where God was building endurance and trust in me things I needed before moving forward.

Reflection Questions

  • Where do I feel spiritually or emotionally stuck?

  • How can I trust God’s unseen work?

  • What would faith look like in this season?

Try This This Week

Instead of focusing on what hasn’t changed, thank God for how He is strengthening you internally.

Affirmation

God is working in me even when progress feels unseen.

Closing Prayer

God, help me trust You when growth feels slow and progress feels hidden. Amen
